Many McCuskeys left West Virginia and followed the Ohio, Mississippi and Illinois Rivers to settle in Illinois. The McCuskeys of Marshall, Putnam, and Peoria Counties, IL invite you to experience McCuskey Reunion - IL style. Help us celebrate our river heritage.

Grandview Drive Pavilion - Peoria, IL

Food catered by Capponi’s of Toluca, IL

Cost $ 10.50  per person, 12 yrs. and over

Bring a dessert, if convenient.  Bring pictures,

scrapbooks, or other family memorabilia to

share.

 

 

The Reunion is planned for Saturday, July 31^st, but other activities for families, golfers, and genealogists are planned.  Check the list and make a weekend of it.  Our Reunion picnic will be catered, so be sure to send your reservation by July 15^th to ensure that enough food can be ordered.  (See next page for reservation slip.)

·        Friday, July 30^th

 

            1:00 p.m. Golf outing to Lacon Country Club Golf Course and visit to

                   nearby Lacon cemetery.  (Meet Ron McCuskey at Holiday Inn

     to caravan to Marshall County.)

 

     1:00 p.m. Lacon & Cumberland Cemetery tour. (Meet Sue Campbell at Holiday Inn to

                        caravan to Lacon and rural Putnam County.)

 

   

 

 7:00 p.m.   Meet for dinner.  Get together over dinner - Reservations at restaurant near

                           hotel.  Indicate on reservation slip - Great chance to get to know the

                           out of town cousins better!

                             

·         Saturday, July 31^st:

12:00 p.m. Reunion - Catered dinner - cost: $10.00 per person, 12 years and over.

                              Grandview Drive Pavilion.  Bring a dessert to share.

 

                                Directions:  The pavilion is located in the northeast edge of Peoria, IL just off state

        route  #29 that parallels the IL River.  Turn west on Lorenz Ave. and then left

       onto Grand View Drive.  The Grand View Pavilion will be visible.

 

 

·        Sunday, August 1^st:

 

          8:00 a.m.  Golf outing to Putnam County’s 18 hole Edgewood Golf Course and nearby

                                  Cumberland Cemetery.  (Meet Mark McGhiey at Holiday Inn to caravan to

      Rural McNabb, IL

 

         1:00 -2:15 p.m  Sightseeing Cruise on the Spirit of Peoria - cost: $12.00 per

                             person, Family pack $35.00 (2 adults & up to 4 children)  Cruise leaves from

                                Peoria Riverfront.

 

         3:00 p.m.  Tour of western Peoria Co. Cemeteries - French Grove, Elmwood, & Brimfield.

                                (Meet Sue Campbell on the Peoria Riverfront after cruise to caravan.)

 

Note:  Other tours can be arranged, for genealogists staying longer.
